Get to Know Global Missions Partner – My360 Project – Mexico
At My360Project we are “Giving Shoes & Saving Lives” every day. Our mission is to build shoes for children in communities with the most need. My360Project creates jobs, washes feet, gives shoes, and provides health and hope for a future. We do this by creating expandable shoes to protect the feet of children in developing countries and allow greater access to education. My360Project also employs local artisans to build shoes with regionally sourced materials benefiting and empowering their community.
Each year we take dozens of teams to our Mexico location where they can meet the local artisans, wash feet of the local children, and provide shoes. It’s that simple! I’ll be very honest. It’s not even about the shoes. We seek to discover cultures and communities in need of Jesus and basic human resources. Shoes are often the last item given to those in poverty. We want to disrupt the cycle of poverty by providing jobs. Giving our artisans a local skill and sustainable employment does just that! And we want to carry the message of Jesus Christ to the children and their families. We do this by providing a small Bible lesson followed by the washing of their feet and the giving of shoes. Every child gets to hear about Jesus, have their feet washed, and receive new shoes. What better way to say that you are loved and care for than to have someone wash your feet! Besides, the tiny toes are just so cute!
Our goal for the next few years is to deliver 100,000 pairs of shoes to children in need around the world. You are invited to join us in this wonderful adventure! We just ask that you do it with an open heart. LifePoint will be hosting an informational meeting soon, so be watching for more on that.
