Landscaping

We have a couple who have been attending LifePoint for some time who felt that the landscaping needed a little “sprucing up.” There are trees in need of being cut back, trimming, edging, and shaping of bushes needed. The wash is in need of some more rock to make it more pleasing. After the unbelievable blessing of the turf, these congregants thought that the rest of the property needed to be improved as well, so they enlisted the help of their son who owns a landscaping company. They asked if their son would donate landscaping work for the entire 8-acre property including all of the items mentioned...

The Final Prophet

The Final Prophet

In the fullness of time, God almighty saw fit to send a prophet to prepare the way of His son Jesus Christ. The man he would send would be named John and would be born to Zechariah and Elizabeth. From the time he was in his mother’s womb the purpose of his life was known to him. He would be the voice of one calling in the wilderness and began to proclaim in the region of Jordan a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. He would ultimately be taken prisoner on the request of King Herod who was having an adulterous relationship with his brother’s...

New lights and stage design

For many of you that have been to LifePoint in the last couple weeks, this will not be news to you, but we have new lights in the sanctuary!  Some of you have been surprised by the brightness of these new lights!  Gone are the giant pinkish-yellow energy monsters that have been our constant companions for many years now.  A congregant saw a need and found a way to provide us with new, vibrant LED lights at a very minimal cost because of a rebate program we were not aware of!  These new lights are much brighter, do not cast a yellow hue on everything, and will...

What type of service best fits me?

What type of service best fits me?

I think some of the most difficult struggles we can face when decided on where to serve is deciding how far to travel. I believe the answer can be found by spending some time in prayer and looking at the needs that God has placed on your heart. Some feel impacted by the plight of other countries or even local communities. We have some serve overseas and some serve in our backyard. Where you choose to travel makes no difference, a mission is a mission. Jamie Morse, a personal coach and fitness instructor, has taken on a new role at LifePoint. She is our newest member of...

The Fullness of Sin

The Fullness of Sin

This year during our Advent season, I want to take a look at a phrase given to us in Galatians 4:4, “But when the fullness of time had come God sent His son, born of a woman, born under the law.” In our time of preparation, which is what advent means, we will take a look at the state of the earth, sin reaching its climax in mankind and the miracle and divinity of God incarnate in his creation. I have taken some excerpts from an article written by Mark Rushdoony, to give you some historical background of the time period Jesus was born into…   ‘”Jesus was born about 500 years after...

People in the community doing amazing acts of service, kindness, or ministry

Each week, leading to the end of the year, we are highlighting people in the community doing amazing acts of service, kindness, or ministry. This week is no different! We are fortunate enough to find Project Stella by Kim David and her daughter, Stella. They can be found rocking kindness all over Facebook and in San Tan Valley.  Kim’s heart for service began at a young age. Kim says, “Service to the community has always been an important part of my life.  My first memory of serving is with my grandmother’s church. She had a group of women that would sing once a month at a nursing home...

Operation Christmas Child 2019!

It was another successful year with Operation Christmas Child! LifePoint brought in over 300 boxes that will be distributed throughout the year to kids across the globe. Your contributions since January of this year helped build this number dramatically. The recipients and their families will receive education of the love of Jesus along with receiving a box full of gifts that will bring a joyful smile to the child’s face. That’s right, each individual shoebox will affect more than just the child receiving it! That should bring a joyful smile to your face knowing the effects of the kingdom per each box you gave! Once again, LifePoint...

Giving Tree benefitting Hope Women’s Center

This Sunday is the deadline for our Giving Tree collection! This year’s Giving Tree benefits Hope Women’s Center in Coolidge. You can bring diapers of any size, feminine products, baby wipes, toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, and women’s deodorant this Sunday. Let’s make this year’s Big Give season one for...

Positive Role Models for Teens

Positive Role Models for Teens

When teens grow up without a positive influence, they often become a statistic. James and Toni McSwain saw a need in their own lives for positive role models and mentors and decided to change things. “When God told me at the age of 15 I would be helping others see their worth I had no clue what that meant.” Reflects Toni. It was not until many years later, in 2014, that God revealed his plan for their lives. Divine Movement Organization is a Mentor, Coaching, and Training program. They work with youth, teens, young adults, and their families to help them overcome obstacles. Typically, we see youth...
