New Foundation Sober Living Home
Most people have had some form of addiction in their family whether it be immediate or in past generations, ours is not exempt. We have a long line of alcohol and drug addiction in our family. This home came to fruition when we lost a niece to drugs.
A Sober Living Home is a safe place for a person to go to and start a new life after rehabilitation. If the addict has no place to go when they get clean and out of rehab they return to where they came from. Most need to be able to learn how to cope with the normal everyday situations that you and I wouldn’t have a problem with.
This is a program that requires them to attend daily meetings, stay actively employed and learn how to adjust to a sober life. From the point of fruition to today, less than one month God has closed and opened doors so wide it would be difficult not to know it is him. He closed the door to a house we thought would be perfect and opened the door to another house at a lower the cost in less time than it took us to get home and pray about it.
People from the church and friends of friends have been so generous with donating free carpet cleaning, household items, and furniture right down to the silverware! I can’t tell you how many times my family has just looked at each other in amazement at how God keeps providing what is needed. We are very humbled and blessed that God has allowed us to be involved in his vision.
If it is Gods will we would love to be involved in starting more of these much-needed homes. We would like to be able to do a home for families as well.
Thank you for all of the donations and support
