Should I stay or should I go?

Every organization needs a mission statement, a phrase or sentence that lets people know what they are really all about.

For example:

  • Microsoft’s mission statement is, “to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.”
  • Uber – “We ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion.”
  • Google – “To organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.
  • LifePoint Church – “…help people become fully devoted followers of Christ through intentionally SERVING, GIVING & CARING FOR OUR NEIGHBOR.”

As you can see, each of the statements above help give people an idea of what you’re all about, a tech company is about empowering people to achieve, a taxi service wants to make sure everyone has an opportunity to get where they need to be and LifePoint church desires to create disciples through serving, caring and giving to our neighbor.

How a mission statement gets executed is quite a bit more in-depth as it is the practical application of how all the employees will carry out the mission. This short mini-series we will begin this Sunday will be an opportunity to learn how LifePoint carries out its mission, how it aligns with the scriptures and what you can do to be an active part of the mission.

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend.
