Stepping up as a community

Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

There is no greater way to spread God’s love and mercy than to gather in His name. On Monday, MomsLIFE PM, a group of mothers dedicated to uplifting one another in fellowship and in the name of Christ, gathered in fellowship, as well as gathered items to bless one of our other ministry partners, San Carlos Indian Reservation. Many of you know that the San Carlos Indian Reservation needs Christ in a big way. The children that attend the local schools do not always have resources for personal hygiene. Seeing this need, the school now offers services for children and teens to get a shower, wash their laundry, etc. The women of MomsLIFE PM heard about this need and stepped up in a big way by gathering the items needed.

Not only did MomsLIFE PM join in but Genesis Project, an organization that feeds the homeless in Apache Junction, AZ., donated dozens of socks, toothbrushes, soaps, and shampoos to our cause. What a blessing it is to see two of our ministries partnering together to support another ministry so close to our hearts.

All together Genesis Project and MomsLIFE PM gathered enough items to create personal hygiene kits for 59 young ladies that included toothbrushes, deodorant, body wash, shampoo and condition, body lotion, chapstick, and a feminine pad. In addition to the 59 kits created, we still had enough to bless the young men with approximately 40 hygiene kits.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone at MomsLIFE PM, Genesis Project, and anyone else that stepped up to bless this beautiful community just North East of us.
