Where to go from here
Each week seems to bring with it a new batch of, “really? Am I really seeing this?” I can tell you that I am appreciating my time in the Word more and more these days. A consistent truth that has stood the test of time and remains a constant anchor in the middle of the storm. Everything you read outside of The Bible these days must be tested and researched as to who is writing/speaking it and what is the purpose of the message. When I go to the Scriptures, I know who it was written and inspired by, and I know its purpose…to instruct and lead mankind to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Anything else one might glean or extrapolate from Scripture is secondary.
This week we will be looking at Luke 16, as Jesus gives instructions to His disciples and the Pharisees listening. He will instruct them on what it means to be a good steward of money, relationships, and our salvation. Bringing to light these questions…
What does it mean to be a steward of truth in the current climate?
How can I be involved in the conflict without being overcome by it?
Where is the role of the Church during this time of trials?
When will we see the bride of Christ follow the commands of Christ?
These questions have been put here to inspire you to think and invest time in the Scriptures and even more time in purposeful silence before God. I am praying for you this week, for boldness, courage, and wisdom for the challenges facing each of you.
Peace,
Nathan Bentley
