M.O.T.L. Recap
We had a glorious night with Movie on the Lawn last Friday! So many families came out to enjoy a fun-filled evening, together as a community. We doubled the number of people from the previous year who came out to experience A Bugs Life on the big screen. Many for the first time.
Many kids created and decorated their own cars prior to the event. We had a ladybug car, Jeep, Tacoma, Cracker Box, and many more unique and creative automobiles. For those who did not pre-create, there were plenty of materials for them to still make a sweet ride. On top of the cardboard car fun, we had a petting zoo with a donkey, goats, sheep, and pigs that liked to escape and scurry through the crowds. Hayrides went on through the night along with a variety of food and snacks from hotdogs and candy to nachos and snow cones.
We ended up with a great number of volunteers to help pull the whole show off, setting up and tearing down, auto body mechanics and painters, D.M.V. and inspection workers, and many, many more. A group of Arizona Rangers was on campus handing out stickers and interacting with kids as well.
It was a great night of family fun and community involvement. Thank you church for helping with this night and giving the community a big hug. When you see Sharon and Jenna, give them a BIG hi-5 for all the work they did for this event to happen.
