San Carlos Prayer Journey Recap
Feb. 12, 2022, 7 of us traveled on a 2-hour journey to San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation for an eye-opening experience. However, not only were our eyes opened but also our hearts and souls.
Our intent was to stop at 5 locations on the reservation to pray. I offered to pay at the 1st stop. Very quickly, the Holy Spirit took over my being and put words into my mouth, words asking, imploring for our Holy Father to help our Apache brothers and sisters, words to cover them with His love, healing, and protection. I don’t remember the words that came from my mouth, but I remember the sensations I felt in my body afterward. I felt my body tremble with total emersion with the Holy Spirit. I grabbed Veronica’s hand in order to share this experience with her and also to quiet my soul.
We learned of many tragedies that day, people living in squalor, perhaps 30 to a house, of little girls being sexually abused by their own family members. Of feelings of total hopelessness and being driven to drugs and alcohol for a sense of false release. An how these missionaries called to serve them are repeatedly pelted by spears of the devil.
I challenge you to see for yourself and learn of the plight of these people, people who are our brothers and sisters in Christ. God calls us to be a missionary for these people. Please answer his call!”
