Baptism
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.
It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Baptism does not bring about salvation. Faith in Christ alone is needed to be justified to the Father. This Sunday we will have baptisms between 2nd and 3rd service along with after 3rd as well. As the church family, stay and be a witness to these believers declaring to all, that Jesus is their Lord and Savior of their lives and from this day forward they are living their lives for Him!
We encourage you to pray over them after they are baptized as well. There will be an opportunity for this as they walk down off stage. The first thing evil wants to do is trip up someone who stands up to live their life for Christ. They need the power of prayer to wash over them for their upcoming week.
