Broken & Contrite
As we have spent time this week worshiping & praying as a team of pastors and elders, I am excited to get to this Sunday. My prayer for you is that you will come prepared to receive more of God’s Holy Spirit. Imagine being prayed for by a fellow congregant, a pastor, or spouse to be filled to overflowing with the Spirit of God. So often we come to God in prayer for our needs, or fears, which is great, but what about a Sunday morning, where during all those needs and hurts we come and say, “Oh God, I just want more of you, to see this world through your Spirit, to see my neighbor, my enemy through your eyes.”
Incredible! The power of God sought after and prayed over the whole room of people. For some you might need to a time of confession and repentance, asking God for a broken and contrite heart, to see your sin as the barrier to relationship, the cell keeping you trapped from identifying as His child. I believe we will see a mighty move of God this weekend and I implore you to prepare your heart in times of prayer, fasting and worship.
Come expecting!
Peace,
Nathan Bentley
