A New Year & A New Paladin
2023 will mark the 15th year since Paladin has been operating in the youth sports area of ministry. So many amazing things have happened over that time and the Lord continues to provide opportunities for people to hear the message of Jesus, who might not otherwise.
This year LifePoint will be partnering with Paladin in a new way to help stay connected to the very real mission field that is serving and loving those who are participating in youth sports, which is currently a multi-billion-dollar industry. Paladin has hired a Faith & Outreach Coordinator that is going to oversee the Saturday rec games and all forms of ministry and sharing the Gospel. Part of that ministry will be managing what we are calling, “Team 710”. The 710 stands for Paladin’s organizational verse Psalm 7:10, which says that…“The Lord is my shield most high, who saves the upright in heart.”
Team 710 will assist on Saturdays with the Ministry tent, pass out Bibles and water, help direct people to the appropriate fields, and be available for prayer. The idea is that when parents, and other family members show up on that field to watch their son, daughter, niece, nephew or grandchild play that from the moment they get on the campus, they feel loved and cared for just the way Christ would do for those whom he ministered to.
So, what’s all this mean for you? We need volunteers! You will get a cool shirt, great training, and the most fulfilling experience you can imagine. We will have a training coming up the last week of January for the winter season starting the first weekend of February with Pastor Nathan and the Paladin faith & outreach coordinator. Please sign up in the lobby or on the app this Sunday and we will see you on the field!
Peace,
Pastor Nathan
