Community Picnic 2023

David and Angela Noel   -

LifePoint Churches Annual Community Picnic is just around the corner! Sunday, March 19th from 1 to 3 p.m. LifePoint will host the whole community for an afternoon of family fun, fellowship, and FREE FOOD! We can’t make this community-centered event happen without YOU, the church.

My family loves the annual picnic. This was the first event that we participated in as a family when we started attending LifePoint in 2016. There is plenty of opportunity to serve as a family at this event and show the love of Jesus to our neighbors. I want to encourage each and every one of you to participate in this year’s event, and to invite a neighbor. Our church picnic is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, enjoy some free food, and participate in some fun activities.

This year’s picnic will feature a petting zoo, face painting, a bounce house, a live DJ, and more. There will be something for everyone to enjoy, from the youngest members of our community to the oldest. But this event is not just about having fun; it’s also an opportunity for us to serve one another and our community. I urge you to consider volunteering at the picnic. There are many different ways you can help, from setting up tables and chairs, to serving food, to manning the grill. If you have a special talent or skill, such as face painting or balloon-animal-making ability, please consider sharing it with the community. In addition to volunteering your time, we are asking each family to bring a dish to share. This is a great opportunity to share your favorite family recipe with others and to bond over food and fellowship. If your last name begins with A through J, bring a side dish, K through S, bring an appetizer or salad, and T through bring a dessert.

Finally, I want to emphasize the importance of coming together as a community. Our church is more than just a building; it is a community of believers who come together to support and encourage one another and to serve. By participating in events like the annual picnic, we strengthen our bonds and build lasting relationships with one another. I hope to see you all at the picnic this year, whether as a volunteer or a participant. Let’s come together as a church and make this year’s picnic the best one yet!
