My360 Project Mission Trip
Writing about a mission trip is always a challenge, but when it comes to My360Project, the excitement is too much to contain! I could go on and on about all the amazing things that happen on our trips, but I don’t want to keep you here all day. Instead, let’s find some common ground. As a LifePoint attendee, you’re in luck! This September, a group, led by Alec Evenson, of incredible ladies and gentlemen will be heading to Mexico to serve with My360Project. Unlike other shoe organizations, My360Project’s aim is to change the trajectory of a child’s life by impacting them and their community directly. We provide training and jobs for local artisans who hand-make specialized shoes, partner with local ministries, and of course, provide shoes to the children. But that’s not all! Our trips also offer VBS-style activities for the kids, community service projects, and the washing of feet and giving of shoes.
There’s something so simple yet highly spiritual about the washing of feet. As you know, Jesus washed the disciples’ feet in one of his final acts. It’s a humbling experience that brings us closer to those we serve and reminds us of the importance of humbling ourselves to serve others. All 11 members of the LifePoint team will get a chance to pray over the kids, wash their feet, and make a positive impact.
You don’t have to join the team to help make an impact though. My360Project is looking for Shoe Heroes too! For just $35 per month, you can take part in providing 1 pair of shoes per month to a child in need. We have served 17 countries to date, and we are looking to expand the Mexico and Uganda locations.
