Mission Point – Arizona Reservation Ministries
It’s been a hectic month, filled with miracles and amazing provisions, here at Arizona Reservation Ministries!
Laborers arrived from Indiana and Illinois to work on get a home completed for a family on the San Carlos Apache Reservation. We’re super-excited to work to complete this practical provision! The daughter joined the visiting short-term missionaries to write scripture all over her new walls and floor! Please pray for others to join us in working on this home, so that they can move into it before Christmas.
We also had the great privilege of being the conduit between donors who faithfully and generously gave, and the students of the San Carlos Apache Tribe, as nearly 1,200 backpacks were distributed through our Children’s Ministries, and then to Apache-led churches, Tribal agencies, AND the San Carlos School District. We had a GREAT deal of leftover supplies, which were picked up by the School District’s bus drivers as they filled a school bus with what remained. GOD provided in “Exceedingly, Abundant Ways!” With back-to-school expenses like clothing and shoes, many on the Reservation count on us for this practical provision.
Unemployment continues to exceed 75% on this Reservation, making it one of the poorest ethnic groups in the U.S. What a blessing to be able to meet these critical needs before another school year begins!
