Basket of Blessings Recap
The ‘Basket of Blessings outreach program led by our church member, Emily Scott, has made a great start for this first of its kind ministry at LifePoint. More than just a box of provisions, these baskets represent the selfless giving and care unto others. Emily has turned the idea of sharing blessings into a tangible reality.
The heart of the ‘Basket of Blessings’ lies in its mission to have the LifePoint Church Body disciple our neighbors in need. Comprised of canned goods and a thoughtful gift card, each basket is served to families who may need a helping hand during the holiday season. Five individuals from LifePoint identified five deserving families and delivering these baskets as an expression of the love of Jesus during tough times.
Looking ahead, the ministry plans to kick off next year’s efforts in September, with a basket-packing party and distribution day in early November. The fantastic support received in our inaugural year has fueled our excitement to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us. Emily shared with me, and said it best, “I am speaking it and claiming it right now, that next year is going to be an AWESOME year of giving! I am looking forward to it! Thank you, Lord!”
