Annual Community Picnic Recap – 2024

We are excited to share with you the amazing success of our Annual Community Picnic. Despite the breezy weather, we were thrilled to see so many neighbors from our community come out to join us in the fun. We had over 500 people in attendance this year, over last year’s attendance of 300.

We were honored to have the local Rural Metro Fire Station and their Fire Truck join us for the day, adding to the excitement and community spirit of the event. Our attendees enjoyed a range of activities, including a petting zoo, two bounce houses, face painting, a soccer activity with prizes, sack races with prizes, foam fun, corn hole and gaga pit free play, and snow cones for purchase.

Of course, no picnic is complete without delicious food and dessert, and we were proud to have our congregants provide a spread of free food, sides, and desserts for everyone to enjoy. Our grill masters Justin Smith and Chris Regan kept the burgers and hot dogs coming. Our live DJ kept everyone entertained throughout the day, providing the perfect background music to this exciting event. A big thank you to DJ Live Wire Mike for keeping us grooving at the picnic!

We are also pleased to announce that we raised over $2,000 for Youth Camp scholarships with our Pie-A-Pastor activity and donations. We appreciate the generosity of our attendees and their willingness to support our cause. A shout out and a thank you to Youth Pastors Nate & Josh for being such good sports in support of summer youth camps!

None of this would have been possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers. We are grateful to everyone who gave their time and effort to make this event a resounding success. It took over 70 volunteers to make this event happen. We were blessed to have Paladin Sports Outreach and Black Sheep Motorcycles for Christ host vendor booths and organize the children’s activities for the picnic.

Thank you once again to everyone who attended, volunteered, and contributed to the Annual Community Picnic. We look forward to seeing you at our next community outreach event! Don’t forget to invite your neighbors!
