March for Life Event

Lifepointaz   -

March 1, 2024, brings the annual March for Life to Phoenix, AZ. This year we are thrilled to announce that LifePoint will be gathering a group of volunteers to participate in the March. The March rally begins at 11:00 am at the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza next to the state capitol building, followed by the March at noon.

Why Life?

The Pro-life movement goes far beyond modern-day politics. The Bible provides numerous references to life beginning in utero. Passages including Psalm 139:13, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb,” show us the intention and value that is present for unborn lives.

Looking at life through the lense of science we know that babies’ organs begin to develop and the heart begins to beat 21 days after conception. By 8 weeks the hands and feet are developing and the baby can move.

We must remember that not only does abortion end an unborn child’s life, but the mother often endures tremendous suffering as well. From physical complications, to emotional and mental health struggles, to strained relationships, the effects of abortion reach beyond the unborn child itself. Fortunately, many pro-life and crisis pregnancy organizations offer pregnancy and early child support, as well as post-abortive resources for women involved.

Why we March

Since 1973 more than 63 million lives have been tragically taken through abortion. Last year alone, Planned Parenthood was responsible for more than 350,000 abortions. And yet, hope is not lost. In 2022 the infamous Roe vs Wade ruling was overturned returning the legislative decision making to the individual states! Still, more work remains to save every unborn life.

Next month we March to end violence against the unborn. We March to be a voice for the voiceless. We March to represent each precious, unborn child made in its Creator’s image. Won’t you join us?
