JR High Camp Recap

Thank you all for your prayers as we had to pivot during this year’s Jr. High camp. Changing location, making our food, and providing our medic were some changes. God did a great work while we were at Elks Youth Camp. Most students were Christians before the camp, but one young man accepted Christ for the first time, Hallelujah! Several of the students felt a huge comfort while in the woods. They spoke about the Character of God most of all; realizing that He is a God that cares, and is intimate in their lives, even if they don’t see it.
The new location for this year also provided a more woodsy feel. Though skinned knees and bumped elbows increased, it allowed students to engage with God more quietly and personally. I had a sense of pride seeing kids spend alone time with the God they were learning about in such a deep way. Join us in prayer to keep the momentum these students had while at camp.
A special thank you to the leaders, kitchen staff, prayer team, and worship leaders who were flexible with the plan and made camp impactful for each student.
