Compassion Queen Creek Event Recap
On March 1st, Compassion Queen Creek made a significant impact in the lives of hundreds in the community who often struggle to access basic healthcare services. Hosted by a partnership of many Christian organizations and local churches, including LifePoint Church, this free clinic event brought together a variety of essential services, offering not only medical and dental care but also social services to care for all areas of need. Residents of Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Coolidge, and Florence were welcomed with open arms to this event and served a lifeline to critical services they would otherwise be unable to access.
Among the offerings were:
- Dental Care: From check-ups and cleanings to extractions and x-rays, dental professionals provided crucial treatments for those in need.
- Basic Medical Exams: Community members received exams and treatments for various health concerns, ensuring they had access to the basic medical care that so many go without.
- Chiropractic Care: Chiropractic treatments were available to help alleviate pain and improve mobility.
- Screenings: Blood pressure and diabetes screenings helped identify early signs of potential health risks.
- Haircuts: Volunteers provided free haircuts, helping boost self-esteem and restore a sense of dignity.
- Clothing: Community members where gifted the ability to “Shop” for much needed clothing in the clinic’s boutique at no cost to them, thanks to many who donated.
- Free Breakfast, Lunch & Snacks: Community members were treated to complimentary meals and snacks, ensuring no one left the event hungry. LifePoint fully sponsored the breakfast for all attendees and volunteers with our local Dutch Bros, located at 38158 N Gantzel Rd, San Tan Valley, donating all the coffee, cups, lids, creams, and sugars.
- Social Services Vendors: Compassion Queen Creek also provided access to important community and social services resources, helping people connect with needed services that can offer long-term support and resources.
- Prayer & Support: With a prayer team on-site and Life Connectors to help them navigate the event, these community members were covered in prayer all day long.
This was the second year the LifeCare ministry hosted a social services booth at Compassion Queen Creek, and it was especially successful. Dozens of community members stopped by to learn more about this ministry. LifeCare focuses on providing assistance to individuals facing difficult circumstances, offering resources such as minor home repairs, one-time yard clean-ups, minor car repairs, and more at little to no cost to those in need. Through this booth, ministry leader, David Noel was able to connect with many people in need and share about the ongoing efforts to serve the community working as the hands and feet of Jesus.
As I reflect on the success of this year’s event, I’m filled with gratitude and amazement for everyone who came together to make it happen. From the volunteers to the medical professionals to the local churches that all worked together to support the event. Compassion Queen Creek was a beautiful reminder of how the power of community and the church body can make a profound impact when we come together to serve others. A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers! None of this would have been possible without their tireless efforts, of which they gave generously, to serve others.
I look forward to continuing this partnership for the years to come.
